In partnership with the Australian Dental Association and Sports Medicine Australia, Royal Park Dental is very excited to launch our ‘Play Safe, Play Strong’ Mouthguard Partnership program to our local sporting clubs.
Every year thousands of people are treated for dental injuries that could have been avoided by wearing a protective, custom-fitted mouthguard. Wearing a custom-fitted mouthguard helps to absorb and spread the impact of a blow to the face, which may otherwise result in an injury to the mouth or jaw. We recommend dual laminate sports mouthguards as they are extremely effective in preventing facial and dental injury from occurring. Such mouthguards are also made in a local dental laboratory to ensure they fit the mouth perfectly, and therefore offer the maximum level of comfort and protection.
Dental injuries can result in time off school or work to recover, can be painful and disfiguring, may involve lengthy and complex dental treatment. The cost of an injury to the teeth or jaw far exceeds the cost of a mouthguard.

Thus, your 6-monthly “Active Maintenance appointment” is important to both your oral health and physical health because we monitor your dental health, identify any risk factors, address your health concerns and ultimately help to maintain your overall health. Your “Active Maintenance appointment” is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team approach with the dentist and appropriate referral to other oral health and medical teams.
